The Fred G. Turner House, also known as Valley View Farm, is a Queen Anne–style residence built in 1903 in rural Iowa County, Iowa, near North English. Designed and constructed by local contractor Leslie Roller, this free classic Queen Anne house is notable for its rarity in the agricultural landscape of its region, where it stands as one of four such houses in the immediate area. The residence displays characteristic Queen Anne features including a pyramid hipped roof, lower cross gables, an irregular plan, a corner turret with contrasting wood shingles, and an asymmetrical porch. Turner, who had relocated to the area in 1866, married in 1893 and inherited the family farm, which grew to 500 acres by 1899; beyond farming, he served on the local school board, completed two terms in the Iowa House of Representatives, and worked as a county supervisor. The house remained in the Turner family until 1959 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
