The French Opera House, or Théâtre de l'Opéra, was a prominent opera house in New Orleans' French Quarter that stood at the corner of Bourbon and Toulouse Streets from its opening in 1859 until its destruction by fire in 1919. With its main entrance facing Bourbon Street, it served as one of the city's defining landmarks for six decades before the site was later claimed by the Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter hotel.
