Gardencourt is a historic Shingle style residence located at 10 Gibson Avenue in Narragansett, Rhode Island, designed by architect William Gibbons Preston and built in 1888 for businessman Charles E. Pope. The house exemplifies the distinctive aesthetic of the style, with a first floor of large fieldstone supporting a wood-frame shingled second story beneath a gabled roof that descends to shelter a now-enclosed porch and is pierced by a small eyebrow window. A two-story wing extends southward from the main structure. Preston originally envisioned Gardencourt as part of a group of five structures, though the others were never constructed. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the house now stands within the Gibson Court condominium complex, a 1987 development of similarly styled buildings.
