Reynolds House, a historic residence in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, exemplifies the Shingle Style architecture of the 1890s. Built around 1895, the two-and-a-half-story dwelling combines rusticated materials and refined ornament in characteristic fashion: its raised basement and first floor are constructed of cobblestone, while the upper stories are clad in shingles. A front porch with Tuscan order columns provides a classical accent to the composition. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
