Gare du Palais is a two-storey châteauesque train and bus station built in 1915 by the Canadian Pacific Railway in Quebec City's La Cité-Limoilou district. Named for its proximity to the former Palace of the Intendant of New France, the station draws architectural inspiration from the nearby Château Frontenac, employing granite, marble, brick, limestone, and stone in its ornate design. After losing passenger service from 1976 to 1985, the station reopened as the eastern terminus of Via Rail's Corridor services, connecting daily to Montreal and Ottawa. Designated a Heritage Railway Station of Canada in 1992, Gare du Palais remains an active transportation hub serving both Via Rail passengers and Orléans Express coach service.
