Located in Sarajevo, Gazi Husrev Bey's Library is a public library founded in 1537 by Gazi Husrev-beg, the Ottoman sanjakbey of Bosnia, as part of a larger institutional complex that includes a medresa. Built in Ottoman architectural style, the library preserves one of Bosnia-Herzegovina's most significant collections of Islamic manuscripts, many originally donated by its founder. The collection encompasses books, journals, newspapers, documents, and photographs, and notably survived the Bosnian War and the Siege of Sarajevo. The library facilities are designated as part of a National Monument.
