The Ghana National Mosque, completed in 2012 in the Kanda district of Accra, stands as the country's national mosque since 2021 and the second largest in West Africa, accommodating 15,000 worshipers. Designed in Ottoman architectural style, the complex was built at a cost of US$10 million with funding from the Turkish Hudai Foundation and the Turkish Government. Constructed with marble, glass, and paint, the mosque forms part of a larger Islamic complex that includes residential quarters for the imam, a madrasa, and a library.
