Goldin Finance 117, a supertall skyscraper in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China, rises 597 metres (1,957 feet) and was designed by P&T Group. Construction began in 2009 and reached topping-out in 2015, with 128 storeys above ground, 117 of which are designated for housing, hotel, and commercial space—the origin of its name. The project experienced two construction halts but was announced for resumption in April 2025, with completion targeted for 2027. The tower exemplifies China's evolving approach to supertall architecture; its protracted development and other stalled megastructure projects prompted the Chinese government to ban construction of buildings exceeding 500 metres, making Goldin Finance 117 one of the country's last 500+ metre towers when finally completed.
