Gosashi Kofun is a Japanese burial mound of the zenpō-kōen-fun type—a distinctive keyhole-shaped tumulus with a rectangular front section and circular rear mound—constructed around 400 CE in Misasagi-chō. As an imperial mausoleum, it exemplifies the monumental tomb architecture characteristic of Japan's Kofun period, when such earthen structures served as the final resting places of the nation's elite and ruling classes.
