The Goshikizuka Kofun, located in the Goshikiyama neighborhood of Tarumi-ku, Kobe, in Hyōgo Prefecture's Kansai region, is a zenpō-kōen-fun (keyhole-shaped) burial mound built around the end of the fourth century and the beginning of the fifth century during the mid-Kofun period. The largest kofun in Hyōgo Prefecture, it gained historical significance as the first such tumulus to be restored to what archaeologists believe represents its original appearance. Known alternatively as the Sentsubo Kofun, it was designated a National Historic Site in 1921 alongside the smaller neighboring Kotsubo Kofun, with the protected area expanded in subsequent decades.
