Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1926 and constructed through 1931, Graycliff is one of the architect's most ambitious summer estates, exemplifying his Prairie School style. Located on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie in Highland-on-the-Lake near Derby, approximately seventeen miles southwest of Buffalo, New York, the house commands sweeping views across the lake to downtown Buffalo and the Ontario shore. Now fully restored and operated as a historic house museum open for guided tours year-round, Graycliff is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains an outstanding example of Wright's residential design during the interwar period.
