Located at 559 Edgewood Place in River Forest, Illinois, the William E. Drummond House is a Prairie School residence designed by William Eugene Drummond in 1909. Though based on a basic design published by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1907, the house surpasses many of Wright's contemporaneous works in its detailing and construction quality. The residence has been recognized as "one of the best examples" of a Prairie School house created outside Wright's own practice and stands as an excellent specimen of the "economy Prairie House" type. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1970.
