The Cecil and Ida Green Building, completed in 1964 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a striking example of Brutalist architecture designed by I. M. Pei and Araldo Cossutta. Housing the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, the structure stands as one of the tallest buildings in Cambridge. The project was made possible through the principal donation of Cecil Howard Green, an MIT alumnus and co-founder of Texas Instruments, whose name the building bears alongside that of his wife, Ida.
