Grundtvig's Church in the Bispebjerg district of Copenhagen is a rare example of expressionist architecture designed by Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint and completed in 1940. Rising 49 meters, the church blends expressionist and Gothic Revival styles in a distinctive composition that has made it one of the city's most recognized buildings. Its originality in applying expressionist principles to ecclesiastical design sets it apart from more conventional contemporary religious architecture.
