Habitat 67 is a brutalist apartment complex designed by Israeli-Canadian-American architect Moshe Safdie, located at Cité du Havre on the Saint Lawrence River in Montreal, Quebec. Originally developed from Safdie's master's thesis at McGill University's School of Architecture, the building was constructed for Expo 67, the World's Fair held from April to October 1967. Composed of stacked modular concrete units, Habitat 67 represents an innovative approach to residential architecture and has become an architectural landmark in Montreal, earning recognition as a classified heritage immovable.
