Hafodunos Hall, a Gothic Revival country house near Llangernyw in Conwy County Borough, Wales, was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and built between 1861 and 1866 for Henry Robertson Sandbach, succeeding an earlier seventeenth-century dwelling on the site. Executed in Venetian Gothic style, it ranks among Scott's most significant country houses—his second most important after Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire and arguably his most prominent Welsh commission. The building and its registered grounds, which contain numerous separately listed structures, suffered devastating fire damage in 2004, though restoration efforts by a private owner are now underway. A Grade I listed building and National Monument of Wales, Hafodunos exemplifies Scott's masterful adaptation of Continental Gothic aesthetics to the Welsh landscape.
