Halten Lighthouse, a 29.5-metre stone tower in Frøya Municipality, Trøndelag county, Norway, was first lit in 1875 and marks the northernmost point of the Froan lighthouse chain guiding vessels through the archipelago north of Frøya. Painted white with two black horizontal stripes, it stands at an elevation of 39 metres and emits a white flash every four seconds, visible up to 17.5 nautical miles. Originally conceived as a twin structure with Lista Lighthouse, the tower was dismantled and reconstructed at Halten after technological advances rendered the dual design obsolete. Much of its original interior and exterior fabric survives; designated a historic preservation site and cultural property, it remains operational as a base station for the Norwegian Coastal Administration, situated in the now-uninhabited fishing village of Halten.
