Nordøyan Lighthouse, established in 1890, stands 10 metres tall on the islet of Surenøy in the Nordøyan islands north of the Foldafjord in Nærøysund Municipality, Trøndelag, Norway. The tower's light, positioned 36.5 metres above sea level, operates year-round except during the midnight sun period from May 12 to July 25. Its white light emits a steady 79,000 candela glow, intensifying to 2,070,000 candela every 40 seconds in a bright flash visible for approximately 17.2 nautical miles. Automated in 1989, the lighthouse is designated a cultural property.
