Hestskjær Lighthouse stands on a small island about 2 kilometres north of Langøy in Averøy Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Established in 1879 and automated in 1986, this 21-metre-tall cylindrical concrete tower features a white shaft with a red top and emits a directional light—white, red, or green depending on approach—that occultes twice every 8 seconds. With an intensity of 28,200 candela, the beam is visible up to 15 nautical miles, guiding vessels through the coastal waters. The lighthouse is protected as part of Norway's cultural heritage preservation.
