Stavnes Lighthouse, built in 1842 on the Stavneset peninsula of Averøya island in Averøy Municipality, Norway, marks the entrance to Bremsnesfjorden near the port of Kristiansund. The 8-meter tower, painted white with a red top, was rebuilt in 1894 and automated in 1976. Positioned 22 metres above sea level, it emits a white, red, or green light depending on direction, occulting in groups of three every ten seconds. The light operates seasonally from mid-July to late May, remaining dark during summer months due to the midnight sun. The lighthouse is protected as a cultural heritage site in Norway.
