Lindesnes Lighthouse stands at the southernmost tip of Norway, about 10 kilometres southwest of Høllen in Lindesnes Municipality, Agder county. Built in 1915, the 16.1-metre cast-iron tower with granite foundation replaced an earlier station established in 1656 to mark the entrance to the Skagerrak and Baltic Sea from the North Sea. Painted white with a red top, the lighthouse sits at an elevation of 50.1 metres and houses a first-order Fresnel lens that emits a fixed and flashing white light alternating between low and high intensity every 20 seconds, visible for up to 17.7 nautical miles. The structure is designated a cultural property.
