At 380 Mount Vernon Avenue in Marion, Ohio, the Harding Home stands as a Queen Anne style residence designed by Warren G. Harding and his future wife Florence in 1890, one year before their marriage. The couple lived in the house for thirty years before his election as the 29th president of the United States. The structure is distinguished by an expansive, elaborately detailed front porch—the site of Harding's celebrated 1920 front porch campaign, which drew over 600,000 visitors. The interior features a reception hall, parlor, dining room, and Harding's office on the first floor, with four bedrooms and a bathroom above, notably equipped with built-in closets, an unusual convenience for the era. Now operated as a historic house museum by Ohio History Connection, the restored home retains nearly all original furnishings and is accompanied by a press house exhibiting the lives of President and Mrs. Harding. The site preserves a collection of over 5,000 artifacts belonging to the Hardings and was designated a National Historic Landmark.
