The Heard-Craig House is a Queen Anne-style residence in McKinney, Texas, designed by architect James E. Flanders and completed in 1900 for Stephen and Lillian Heard. This 7,000-square-foot, four-story structure showcases period details including ornate fretwork in the front lobby, stained glass windows throughout most rooms, and a distinctive built-in china cabinet with concave and convex doors positioned beneath the staircase. A wraparound veranda leads to Katie's Garden and a historic two-story carriage house. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1987, the building was gifted to arts organizations in 1970 and now operates as a regional art museum and cultural center, hosting exhibitions that pair visual art with floral arrangements, poetry, and fashion, while also preserving local and regional Texas artists' work.
