The V.R. Harris House in Erin, Tennessee, is a Queen Anne–style residence built in 1891 for Volney Rowe Harris, a businessman and former mayor of Erin. Designed in the characteristic ornamental manner of the Queen Anne period, the house originally sheltered Harris, his wife Lizzie Garner, and their twelve children until the family sold it in 1924. The Mitchum family acquired the property in 1944, and the house subsequently became known by their name. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 18, 1983.
