Built in 1889 for Harry T. Jones, president of the Jones National Bank, this Queen Anne–style residence in Seward, Nebraska was designed by architect George A. Berlinghof. The house displays characteristic Queen Anne ornament: wrap-around porches on both main and second stories embellished with classical support colonettes grouped in pairs or threes, balustrades, spindlework, and pediments with decorated tympanums. A distinctive corner turret crowned with a conical roof of patterned shingles anchors the composition, while ornamental latticework adorns the upper porch. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 28, 1990.
