The Hathaway Barn stands in Willimantic, a rural community in southern Piscataquis County, Maine, as a Greek Revival structure built around 1880 by Jabez Hathaway. This large barn was constructed as an optimistic architectural statement about the future of dairy farming in the region, though those prospects ultimately failed to materialize. Originally part of a farmstead complex, the barn remains the sole element to have preserved its historical integrity. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
