Highland Park Village, located at the southwest corner of Mockingbird Lane and Preston Road in Highland Park, Texas, is an upscale shopping plaza designed in Mission Revival architecture and recognized as the first self-contained shopping center in America. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 2000, it represents a pioneering model of retail development that established the template for modern shopping centers.
