Hōōzuka Kofun is a zenpō-kōen-fun (keyhole-shaped tumulus) located in Kōnodai, Japan, dating to around 600 CE. This type of kofun—a distinctive Japanese burial mound featuring a circular rear section joined to a rectangular forecourt—represents the late phase of tumulus construction in the archipelago, when such monumental earthworks were still being raised across the Japanese landscape.
