Located on Batumi's seaside Ninoshvili Boulevard overlooking the Black Sea, the Hotel Intourist Palace is a luxury hotel established in 1939 and designed by architect Alexey Shchusev in the constructivist style. Originally conceived as a major accommodation for international travelers, the hotel has hosted over 450,000 foreign guests since its opening, including politicians, diplomats, businessmen, and athletes, while serving as a venue for international conferences, symposiums, and forums. The hotel features a notable casino, two restaurants, an open-air pool, a spa with sauna and Turkish bath, fitness centre, and massage services, along with modern amenities including a lobby ATM. Now recognized as a cultural heritage property in Georgia, it remains a landmark of Soviet-era hospitality architecture in the region.
