The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Midtown Atlanta, designed by William Lee Stoddart and completed in 1911, was conceived in a Beaux-Arts style intended to evoke Parisian architecture. Built by the George C. Fuller Construction Company for developer Joseph F. Gatins, Jr., between July 1910 and September 1911, the hotel opened on October 2, 1911. Located within the Fox Theatre Historic District, it later received a 19-story addition designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart and Associates in 1991, followed by a major renovation in 2009. The hotel is recognized as a member of Historic Hotels of America, an official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
