Hotel Porta Fira is a 28-storey, 113-metre skyscraper hotel designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito and completed in 2010 in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, a suburb of Barcelona. Built on the Plaza de Europa in the Granvía l'Hospitalet district, the deconstructivist structure exemplifies Ito's approach to contemporary architectural form. The building won first place in the 2010 Emporis Skyscraper Award, recognition of its distinctive design within the international competition.
