Demolished or destroyed.
The Izoterma Communal House, designed by Nikolai Kolli and completed in 1930 in Moscow's Meshchansky District, exemplified Soviet constructivist architecture during the early Stalin era. Built as a communal housing project, it embodied the radical social vision of the Soviet avant-garde through its functional modernist forms and collective living arrangements. Recognized as a historically valuable town-forming object that shaped its urban context, the building stood for nearly a century before its demolition in 2025, marking the loss of a significant architectural document from the revolutionary period of Soviet design.
