The J.B. Brown Memorial Block, a historic commercial building at Congress and Casco Streets in downtown Portland, Maine, was completed in 1883 to a design by architect John Calvin Stevens. Built in the Queen Anne Victorian style, it stands as one of the city's rare examples of this aesthetic applied to commercial architecture. The building was named to honor John Bundy Brown, founder of the Portland Sugar Company in 1855, whose signature is preserved in a cement block above the main entrance. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
