The J. Vivian Jr. and Company Building stands at 342 Hecla Street in Laurium, Michigan, a commercial structure erected in 1894 as a department store. Designed in the Italian Renaissance Revival and Italianate architectural styles—characterized by Mediterranean Revival ornament—the building reflects the commercial ambitions of the Copper Country's late-nineteenth-century boom. It was recognized for its historical significance when added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
