The Jama Mosque in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, is a 17th-century congregational mosque built in 1661 under Mughal patronage. Commissioned by Abd-al-Nabi Khan, the governor of Mathura during the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb, the structure exemplifies Mughal architectural tradition. As a jama (congregational) mosque, it served as the principal mosque for the region's Muslim population during this period of Mughal imperial expansion.
