The Jamaica Savings Bank, built between 1897 and 1898 in Jamaica, Queens, is a slender four-story Beaux-Arts structure clad in limestone over brick. Incorporated in 1866, the bank's original building showcases the architectural refinement characteristic of its era, featuring a deeply rusticated ground floor with elegantly grilled windows, double-story pilasters framing the facade, and elaborate carved ornament including brackets and swags. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building survives as a testament to the bank's prominence before its acquisition by North Fork Bank in 1999.
