Sapporo JR Tower is a 173-meter, 38-story mixed-use complex designed by Nihon Sekkei and completed in 2003, positioned above the south entrance of JR Sapporo Station in Hokkaido. Beyond the tower itself, the development encompasses a shopping mall (Stellar Place), a Daimaru department store, cinema, the JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, office spaces, parking facilities, an observation deck, and a heliport. Opened on March 6, 2003, the project represents an integrated urban development directly integrated with the station's transportation hub, exemplifying contemporary Japanese station-centered commercial architecture.
