The Katy Depot, built in 1896 in Greenville, Texas, is a Victorian-era railway station operated by the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway Company. Constructed with a limestone foundation and red brick walls accented by cut sandstone wainscoting, the building exemplifies the sturdy materials and ornamental detailing typical of late nineteenth-century depot architecture. The station gained additional historical significance when President Harry Truman stopped there in 1948 during his "whistle stop" campaign tour. Today, the depot houses the Greenville Railroad Museum and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
