On Court Street in Greenville, Kentucky, stands the city's Art Deco city hall, a distinctive 1940 structure commissioned and designed by the Works Progress Administration. The only building of its architectural style in Muhlenberg County, it displays characteristic Art Deco ornament including vertical piers, fluted pilasters, reverse crow-stepped detailing around its entrances, and chevron-shaped moldings gracing the second-floor windows. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
