Built in 1983 within King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the King Khalid Airport Mosque serves Muslim travelers passing through the kingdom's capital. Designed by the US-based firm HOK, the 5,600-square-meter structure follows a hexagonal plan and blends elements of traditional Islamic architecture with modern airport functionality. As a Sunni Friday mosque, it accommodates the religious needs of arriving and departing passengers.
