The Kitayama Kofun is a monumental earthen burial mound located in Yurihama, Tottori Prefecture, in Japan's San'in region. Built during the first half of the fifth century, this zenpō-kōen-fun—a keyhole-shaped tumulus form distinctive to the Kofun period—stands as the largest burial mound in Tottori Prefecture. Designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1980, it represents an important archaeological witness to the burial practices and engineering capabilities of mid-Kofun society.
