The Knarrarós Lighthouse stands on Iceland's south coast, a 22-meter-tall concrete structure completed in 1939. Built during a period of modernization in Icelandic maritime infrastructure, it exemplifies the spare, functional aesthetic of early twentieth-century beacon design adapted to the harsh North Atlantic environment.
