Svörtuloft Lighthouse, completed in 1931, stands on the western Icelandic coast in Snæfellsbær as a concrete tower rising 12.8 meters. Built during the early twentieth century as Iceland developed its maritime infrastructure, the structure exemplifies the practical engineering of interwar lighthouse design, constructed entirely of concrete rather than the stone or iron favored by earlier generations.
