The Kootenai Inn was a Tudor Revival hotel in St. Maries, Idaho, built by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad to serve its passengers and workers. As the region's timber and mineral industries declined and residents departed for World War II efforts, the town's population halved and the inn fell into disrepair, facing demolition by 1979. In 1980, two couples purchased and began restoring the structure, salvaging materials from the neighboring St. Maries Hotel, possibly constructed by the same contractor. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
