Książ Castle, the largest in Silesia and third-largest in Poland, rises above the Pełcznica river gorge in northern Wałbrzych, Lower Silesia. Founded around 1300, the castle evolved through successive architectural styles—Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo—creating a layered testament to its long history. Situated within the protected Książ Landscape Park in the Sudeten Mountains and Foreland, this sprawling complex commands the landscape and ranks among Poland's most significant architectural heritage monuments and principal tourist destinations.
