Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Zbruch River in Chortkiv Raion, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine, Kudryntsi Castle is a ruined fortress built in the early 17th century by Jan Szczęsny Herburt. Located 25 kilometers west of the larger fortress at Kamianets-Podilskyi, it endured repeated sieges by Cossacks and Turks throughout the ensuing century. By the 19th century, portions of its walls had crumbled, and the structure was subsequently abandoned. Today recognized as Architectural Heritage of National Importance of Ukraine, the castle stands as a testament to the region's turbulent defensive history.
