Opened in October 2014 in the Bois de Boulogne, the Louis Vuitton Foundation is a French art museum and cultural center sponsored by the luxury group LVMH in Paris's 16th arrondissement. Designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, the building is a striking example of Deconstructivist architecture, with construction beginning in 2006. Located adjacent to the Jardin d'Acclimatation and bordering Neuilly-sur-Seine, the museum attracted over 1.4 million visitors in 2017 alone. Originally projected to cost €100 million, the final construction expense ultimately reached approximately €800 million, making it one of the most expensive cultural projects of its era.
