Located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the Lysander Tulleys House is a 2½-story brick Victorian residence designed by Chicago architect P.E. Hale and constructed by local contractor Wickham Brothers. Built for Lysander Tulleys, a Civil War veteran and co-founder of the agricultural-lending firm Burnham-Tulleys, the house features a striking three-story square tower capped by a mansard roof with dormers as its focal point. The tower's first two stories are brick while the third story is wood with corner pilasters, and concrete friezes accent the windows of the main facade. The remainder of the ornamentation is restrained, comprising plain cornices and relatively simple porches. Listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, the house was later included as a contributing property in the Park/Glen Avenues Historic District in 2010.
