The Mahen Theatre in Brno is a Czech opera house completed in 1882 by the renowned architectural firm Fellner & Helmer, who designed it in a synthesis of Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Baroque, and Neoclassical styles. Originally built as the Deutsches Stadttheater, it holds historical significance as one of the first public buildings in the world to be lit entirely by electric light. The theatre remains a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
