Maisons Jaoul is a pair of single-family homes in Neuilly-sur-Seine, a wealthy Paris suburb, designed by Le Corbusier and constructed between 1954 and 1956. Among Le Corbusier's most significant post-war works, the houses exemplify his brutalist approach, featuring unpainted "béton brut" cast concrete and roughly detailed brickwork that eschews the polished finishes of earlier modernism. Now inscribed as a monument historique, the houses mark a pivotal moment in twentieth-century residential architecture.
